AD 2012-05-07 Airworthiness Directives; Bombardier, Inc.
Models named: DHC-8-102, -103, -106. Read the applicability below — it usually turns on serial or part numbers too.
Applicability*9
This AD applies to Bombardier, Inc. Model DHC-8-102, -103, and -106 airplanes, certificated in any category, serial numbers 003 through 039 inclusive.
Compliance
You are responsible for having the actions required by this AD performed within the compliance times specified, unless the actions have already been done.
Required actions
Within 50 flight hours or 10 days, whichever occurs first, after the effective date of this AD, do the actions specified in paragraphs (g)(1) and (g)(2) of this AD. (1) Do a general visual inspection of the upper edge of each leaf spring for chamfer, in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Bombardier Alert Service Bulletin A8-76-32, dated January 27, 2012. Do all applicable rework before further flight, in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Bombardier Alert Service Bulletin A8-76-32, dated January 27, 2012. (2) Install a new friction brake nut, in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Bombardier Service Bulletin 8-76-02, Revision `A,' dated January 25, 2012.
Unsafe condition
This AD was prompted by reports that it was possible to inadvertently move the power levers through the flight idle gate into the beta range due to an un-chamfered leaf spring in the friction brake that may contact the power lever latch when the friction adjusting knob is fully loosened. We are issuing this AD to detect and correct an unsafe condition where both engines can inadvertently be operated in beta mode during flight and consequently reduce controllability of the airplane.
Affected ADs
None.

You just looked this one up by hand
TrackAD holds all 12,278 of them and matches them against the aircraft you actually look after — airframe, engine, propeller and appliances in one pass — then works out what falls due and when.
- Bring your existing list in from a spreadsheet Paste the rows straight out of Excel. Headers like C/W Date and N/A are read for you.
- A copy that works when this does not One file. No internet, no login, no this software running. For the morning something has to be produced and the computer is not cooperating.
