AD 2019-12-03 Airworthiness Directives; Bombardier, Inc., Airplanes
Applicability*9
This AD applies to all Bombardier, Inc., Model CL-600-2C10 (Regional Jet Series 700, 701 & 702), CL-600-2D15 (Regional Jet Series 705), and CL-600-2D24 (Regional Jet Series 900) airplanes, certificated in any category.
Compliance
Comply with this AD within the compliance times specified, unless already done.
Required actions
Within 30 days after the effective date of this AD, revise the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate the information specified in CRJ Regional Jet (Bombardier) Temporary Revision ALI-0652, dated July 9, 2018. The initial compliance time for doing the tasks is at the time specified in figure 1 to paragraph (g) of this AD. ER03JY19.000
Unsafe condition
This AD was prompted by a determination that new and more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary for operational checks of the landing gear alternate extension system (AES). The FAA is issuing this AD to address a deficiency in the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, that does not meet the certification criteria for all critical AES failure modes, which could reduce the ability of the flightcrew to maintain the safe flight and landing of the airplane.
