Models named: ATR42-200, -300, -320, -500, ATR72-101, -102, -201, -202, -211, -212. Read the applicability below — it usually turns on serial or part numbers too.

Applicability*9

This AD applies to all ATR—GIE Avions de Transport Régional Model ATR42-200, -300, -320, and -500 airplanes; and Model ATR72-101, -102, -201, -202, -211, -212, and -212A airplanes, certificated in any category.

Compliance

Comply with this AD within the compliance times specified, unless already done.

Required actions

Except as specified in paragraphs (h) and (i) of this AD: Comply with all required actions and compliance times specified in, and in accordance with, European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD 2024-0140, dated July 12, 2024 (EASA AD 2024-0140).

Unsafe condition

This AD was prompted by the insufficient accuracy of a certain Angle of Attack (AoA) probe at low airspeeds which could lead to a delayed activation of the stick pusher in flaps-extended configuration. The FAA is issuing this AD to address this unsafe condition, which if not addressed, could, in combination with flight at a high angle of attack, result in non-activation of the stick pusher and ultimately to a loss of control of the airplane.

Affected ADs

None.
