AD 2026-05-14 Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes
Models named: A319-171N, -173N, A320-271N, -272N, -273N, A321-271N, -271NX, -271NY, -272NX. Read the applicability below — it usually turns on serial or part numbers too.

This AD applies to all Airbus SAS Model A319-171N and -173N airplanes, Model A320-271N, -272N, and -273N airplanes, and Model A321-271N, -271NX, -271NY, -272N, and -272NX airplanes, certificated in any category.
Compliance
Comply with this AD within the compliance times specified, unless already done.
Required actions
Within 7 days after the effective date of this AD, revise the Normal Procedure, Ice and Rain Protection, Ground Engine Operation in Icing Condition section of the existing AFM, to include the information specified in figure 1 to paragraph (g) of this AD. This may be accomplished by inserting a copy of figure 1 to paragraph (g) of this AD into the existing AFM. Using an AFM revision that includes information identical to that in figure 1 to paragraph (g) of this AD is acceptable for compliance with the requirement of this paragraph. ER10MR26.123
Unsafe condition
This AD was prompted by reports of engine stalls during takeoff in icing conditions with low visibility due to freezing fog. The unsafe condition, if not addressed, could result in a dual engine surge in a critical flight phase.
