AD 97-09-10 Airworthiness Directives; Jetstream Model BAe ATP Series Airplanes
Models named: BAe ATP series. Read the applicability below — it usually turns on serial or part numbers too.
Applicability*9
Model BAe ATP series airplanes as listed in Jetstream Service Bulletin ATP-27-78, Revision 1, dated January 31, 1996; certificated in any category. Note 1: This AD applies to each airplane identified in the preceding applicability provision, regardless of whether it has been otherwise modified, altered, or repaired in the area subject to the requirements of this AD. For airplanes that have been modified, altered, or repaired so that the performance of the requirements of this AD is affected, the owner/operator must request approval for an alternative method of compliance in accordance with paragraph (c) of this AD. The request should include an assessment of the effect of the modification, alteration, or repair on the unsafe condition addressed by this AD; and, if the unsafe condition has not been eliminated, the request should include specific proposed actions to address it.
Compliance
Required as indicated, unless accomplished previously. To prevent the flight crew from having to engage the standby elevator control system in order to regulate the pitch of the airplane, and to prevent malfunctioning of the pitch warning system for the propellers, either of which could lead to reduced controllability of the airplane, accomplish the following: (a) For airplanes on which Jetstream Modification 35205A has been installed: Within 3 months after the effective date of this AD, remove the retaining cords on the access panels to the powerplant microswitches, in accordance with Part 2 of Jetstream Service Bulletin ATP-27-78, Revision 1, dated January 31, 1996. Note 2: Jetstream Modification 35205A is described in Jetstream Service Bulletin ATP-53-19, dated January 13, 1993. (b) For all airplanes: Within 18 months after the effective date of this AD, modify the stop lever for the bellcrank assembly of the elevator flight control system, in accordance with Part 1 of Jetstream Service Bulletin ATP-27-78, Revision 1, dated January 31, 1996. (c) An alternative method of compliance or adjustment of the compliance time that provides an acceptable level of safety may be used if approved by the Manager, Standardization Branch, ANM-113, FAA, Transport Airplane Directorate. Operators shall submit their requests through an appropriate FAA Principal Maintenance Inspector, who may add comments and then send it to the Manager, Standardization Branch, ANM-113. Note 3: Information concerning the existence of approved alternative methods of compliance with this AD, if any, may be obtained from the Standardization Branch, ANM-113. (d) Special flight permits may be issued in accordance with sections 21.197 and 21.199 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (14 CFR 21.197 and 21.199) to operate the airplane to a location where the requirements of this AD can be accomplished. (e) The removal and modification shall be done in accordance with Jetstream Service Bulletin ATP-27-78, Revision 1, dated January 31, 1996, which contains the following list of effective pages: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Revision level shown Page No. on page Date shown on page ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1, 3, 6..................... 1................... You just looked this one up by hand
TrackAD holds all 12,278 of them and matches them against the aircraft you actually look after — airframe, engine, propeller and appliances in one pass — then works out what falls due and when.
- Bring your existing list in from a spreadsheet Paste the rows straight out of Excel. Headers like C/W Date and N/A are read for you.
- A copy that works when this does not One file. No internet, no login, no this software running. For the morning something has to be produced and the computer is not cooperating.
- $5 a month, or $50 a year Up to 50 aircraft on either.
