Applicability*9
Model R3000/160 airplanes, all serial numbers, certificated in any category. Note 1: This AD applies to each airplane identified in the preceding applicability provision, regardless of whether it has been modified, altered, or repaired in the area subject to the requirements of this AD. For airplanes that have been modified, altered, or repaired so that the performance of the requirements of this AD is affected, the owner/operator must request approval for an alternative method of compliance in accordance with paragraph (d) of this AD. The request should include an assessment of the effect of the modification, alteration, or repair on the unsafe condition addressed by this AD; and, if the unsafe condition has not been eliminated, the request should include specific proposed actions to address it.
Compliance
Required as indicated in the body of this AD, unless already accomplished. To prevent cracks on the flap control shaft and around the welds of the flap levers, which, if not detected and corrected, could result in loss of airplane control during flight, accomplish the following: (a) Prior to further flight, inspect the flap control shaft and the welds on the flap levers for cracks in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions section in Avions Pierre Robin (Avions) Service Bulletin (SB) No. 141, Rev. 1, dated November 6, 1995. (1) If cracks are found, replace the cracked part in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions section in Avions SB No. 141, Rev. 1, dated November 6, 1995. (2) If no cracks are found, check the flap travel, and adjust if necessary, in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions section in Avions SB No. 141, Rev. 1, dated November 6, 1995. (b) At intervals not to exceed 500 hours time-in-service (TIS) after the inspection required in paragraph (a) of this AD, repeat paragraphs (a), and (a)(1) and (a)(2) of this, if applicable. (c) Special flight permits may be issued in accordance with sections 21.197 and 21.199 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (14 CFR 21.197 and 21.199) to operate the airplane to a location where the requirements of this AD can be accomplished. (d) An alternative method of compliance or adjustment of the initial or repetitive compliance times that provides an equivalent level of safety may be approved by the Manager, Small Airplane Directorate, Aircraft Certification Service, 1201 Walnut, suite 900, Kansas City, Missouri 64106. The request shall be forwarded through an appropriate FAA Maintenance Inspector, who may add comments and then send it to the Manager, Small Airplane Directorate. Note 2: Information concerning the existence of approved alternative methods of compliance with this AD, if any, may be obtained from the Small Airplane Directorate. You just looked this one up by hand
TrackAD holds all 12,278 of them and matches them against the aircraft you actually look after — airframe, engine, propeller and appliances in one pass — then works out what falls due and when.
- Bring your existing list in from a spreadsheet Paste the rows straight out of Excel. Headers like C/W Date and N/A are read for you.
- A copy that works when this does not One file. No internet, no login, no this software running. For the morning something has to be produced and the computer is not cooperating.
