Models named: A300, A310, A300-600 series. Read the applicability below — it usually turns on serial or part numbers too.
Applicability*9
All Model A300, A310, and A300-600 series airplanes; certificated in any category. Note 1: This AD applies to each airplane identified in the preceding applicability provision, regardless of whether it has been modified, altered, or repaired in the area subject to the requirements of this AD. For airplanes that have been modified, altered, or repaired so that the performance of the requirements of this AD is affected, the owner/operator must request approval for an alternative method of compliance in accordance with paragraph (c) of this AD. The request should include an assessment of the effect of the modification, alteration, or repair on the unsafe condition addressed by this AD; and, if the unsafe condition has not been eliminated, the request should include specific proposed actions to address it.
Compliance
Required as indicated, unless accomplished previously. To detect and correct cracked or broken door stop fittings of the forward passenger doors, which could result in failure of the door stop fittings, consequent reduced structural integrity of the door support structure, and sudden loss of cabin pressure in the passenger compartment, accomplish the following: (a) Prior to the accumulation of the total flight cycles specified in the ``Threshold'' column of paragraph 1.B.(5) of the Planning Information of Airbus Service Bulletin A300-53-0309 (for Model A300 series airplanes); A310-53-2087 (for Model A310 series airplanes); or A300-53-6060 (for Model A300-600 series airplanes); all dated March 19, 1997; as applicable; or within 200 flight cycles after the effective date of this AD, whichever occurs later; accomplish paragraphs (a)(1) and (a)(2) of this AD. (1) Perform a visual inspection of the left and right forward passenger door stop fittings to detect cracked or broken door stop fittings, in accordance with the applicable service bulletin. (2) Thereafter, repeat the visual inspection at the intervals specified in the ``Intervals'' column of paragraph 1.B.(5) of the Planning Information of the applicable service bulletin. (b) If any cracked or broken door stop fitting is detected during any inspection required by paragraph (a)(1) or (a)(2) of this AD, prior to further flight, replace the door stop fitting with a new fitting in accordance with Airbus Service Bulletin A300-53-0309 (for Model A300 series airplanes); A310-53-2087 (for Model A310 series airplanes); or A300-53-6060 (for Model A300-600 series airplanes); all dated March 19, 1997; as applicable. Thereafter, repeat the visual inspections at the intervals specified in the ``Intervals'' column of paragraph 1.B.(5) of the Planning Information of the applicable service bulletin. (c) An alternative method of compliance or adjustment of the compliance time that provides an acceptable level of safety may be used if approved by the Manager, International Branch, ANM-116, FAA, Transport Airplane Directorate. Operators shall submit their requests through an appropriate FAA Principal Maintenance Inspector, who may add comments and then send it to the Manager, International Branch, ANM-116. Note 2: Information concerning the existence of approved alternative methods of compliance with this AD, if any, may be obtained from the International Branch, ANM-116. (d) Special flight permits may be issued in accordance with sections 21.197 and 21.199 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (14 CFR 21.197 and 21.199) to operate the airplane to a location where the requirements of this AD can be accomplished. (e) The actions shall be done in accordance with Airbus Service Bulletin A300-53-0309, dated March 19, 1997; Airbus Service Bulletin A310-53-2087, dated March 19, 1997; or Airbus Service Bulletin A300- 53-6060, dated March 19, 1997; as applicable. You just looked this one up by hand
TrackAD holds all 12,278 of them and matches them against the aircraft you actually look after — airframe, engine, propeller and appliances in one pass — then works out what falls due and when.
- Bring your existing list in from a spreadsheet Paste the rows straight out of Excel. Headers like C/W Date and N/A are read for you.
